Sub Branch History

Founded as the ‘Returned Sailor’s, Soldier’s and Airmen’s Imperial league of Australia, Queensland Branch’ on the 4th of February 1932, Killarney Memorial Hall was opened on 29th November, 1969. Apart from its use for ceremonial occasions, such as ANZAC and Remembrance Days, the Memorial Hall holds an extensive private collection of Military Memorabilia. The public is welcome to tour the Museum, to learn more about the vast military history of Australian service men and women, from the Boer War to modern conflicts such as East Timor and Afghanistan.
